I visited Ruth’s Diner for the first time this past weekend. Ruth’s is located just a short scenic drive up Emigration Canyon. The diner itself is pretty small however there is a huge back patio that offers several more tables during the summer months. Ruth’s has been open since 1930 and I imagine the menu has changed quite a bit over the years. The menu is quite large now; they offer a large variety of entree choices including sandwiches, salads, burgers, and meat dishes. I ordered the Cobb salad and loved it.
Overall I really enjoyed my first experience at Ruth’s. The peaceful mountain setting adds a lot to the experience and the menu is fairly unique and affordable.
To get to Ruth’s Diner head up Emigration Canyon by the University of Utah. The address is 4160 Emigration Canyon Road 84108.
