The Blu Pig BBQ

Blu Pig Moab The Blu Pig BBQI had dinner at the Blu Pig during my Moab camping trip this past weekend. Blu Pig is one of Moab’s newer restaurants, offering a unique BBQ menu in a “blue” dim-lit environment and featuring some of the best blues music.

My entrée of choice was the Slider Sampler with a side of fried okra and a cup of gumbo. The Slider Sampler featured three small sandwiches (tri-tip, pulled pork, and smoke turkey). My friends opted for the pulled pork salads, which were in my opinion a bit too pricey. The drink menu was also a bit too pricey ($13 for a margarita.) So we all ended up just ordering water.

The waitress was fun but was also a bit pushy in terms of getting us to order more. While I do appreciate a good salesperson, I felt like she went a bit too far in trying to force appetizers and desserts on us.

Blu Pig was a fun place with good food and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Moab. Just keep in mind that it is a bit spendy for what you get, but definitely a fun place.
